Who are we? Can you trust us? Are we just another company making promises they can't deliver?

Verrall Electrical is a family company set up in South Australia. Glen and Kathy Verrall set up G&K Verrall Mobile Repairs in 1970 on the Yorke Peninsula, South Australia. Glen Verrall is a qualified Motor Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, and Auto Electrician, as well as an avid inventor! During this time he operated a mobile workshop around the farming community of Yorke Peninsula.

Glen Verrall used the mobile workshop not only for repairing mechanical and electrical systems on tractors, trucks, etc, on the farm, but was also called upon to repair everything from the electric beater in the kitchen, to the freezer in the fishing boat. Of course this line of work called for a lot of ingenuity and helped improve Glen Verrall's ability as an inventor.

In 1982, the family business moved to Queensland for family reasons, but when these circumstances changed in February 1986, they moved to their present location in Tailem Bend, South Australia. Here they carried on the business in the Auto Electrical field mainly.

In January 1996, Michael Verrall started as an apprentice Auto Electrician and completed his trade certificate in just over three years. (This usual time for this apprenticeship is 4 years.)

During 2000 the Verrall's invented and built a fully automatic wood sawing machine. This machine was capable of cutting a long log automatically into pieces from 200-300mm (8-12 inches) and loading them onto your truck. The operator never actually went anywhere near the saw blade. This won the Gadget Competition at the Lucindale Field Days. Click here to see photos of this. After showing it also at the Karoonda Farm Fair, this invention was then sold to a wood cutter in the Riverland, South Australia. G&K Verrall Mobile Repairs was given orders for several more of these, but as with all inventors, there are plenty more projects to go on with, rather than spend more time building more of the same thing!

During 2001 the Verrall's built a Soft Berry Fruit Grader. This was something that Glen Verrall had invented back in the mid 1960's. After they completed building the Soft Berry Fruit Grader, they took it to the Lucindale Field Days and won the Gadget Competition once again!

In January 2002, due to 2 crushed vertebra in his back, Glen Verrall had to cease work and go on an invalid pension. Now that his body was no longer as agile as it used to be, he had more time to reflect on many of his inventions that had come across stumbling blocks. Now was his chance to solve some of these problems!

Through out his lifetime Glen Verrall had always thought differently to most people. He could often see solutions that others could not even dream of! This was how he first came up with the answer on how to make Diesel for Free.

In any situation that he has been in in life, Glen Verrall has always thought, "How can I improve on this?" or "Why do people say it is not possible to do such-and-such?" and has tried to find ways around these problems. This is how he designed the Versatile Industrial Vacuum Cleaner, Soft Berry Fruit Grader, and others.

In the meantime, Michael Verrall took over the Auto Electrical business (in January 2002) and renamed it Verrall Electrical. After almost two years, Michael's back decided it had had enough of the constant bending and reoccurrence of a back injury from 1999. He also developed chronic fatigue syndrome, thereby greatly reducing his ability to work on vehicles. He sold the Auto Electrical stock and equipment to one of his former workers. This occurred in October 2003.

In October 2003, Michael Verrall started to import Auto Electrical products from overseas. This was a job he could do from home and when he was unwell, he could easily go straight back to bed. He no longer had customers waiting at the front counter. Gradually over time he has got better physically and is now able to work normal hours. It is from his home that he sells Auto Electrical parts both to the trade and retail.

You will be very surprised at how cheaply he can sell you a good quality product! You see as he imports the product direct from the manufacturer and sells it straight to you, there is no middle man to make large profits! Instead of large profits, there is a large discount for YOU!

In January 2006 Michael Verrall moved to Mount Gambier for family reasons.

It is  here in his home that Michael Verrall draws all the designs and instructions for the inventions/plans.

Glen and Michael Verrall would like to ask you to please read the contents of this website thoroughly as you will enjoy learning more about them and their achievements.
